  : Seems far from city center at times but as long as the weather is good it's not a long walk. Staff means well and are usually helpful. Hotel feels quite secure.Marta from Spain is especially good.
  : many doors to pass to get to/from your room, all heavy with tight springs. NO ELEVATOR.Instruction for self-service features either non existent or bad - wifi, they just give you the password, but its not that simple as you have to access the U of E network; and laundry machines - no written instructions and the staff only knows the location, again a U of E secure location.

  : Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located. Bathroom good. Room nicely attended and cleaned daily.
  : Rooms are small and not enough furnished (one chair for two people, wardrobe too small). Breakfast abundant but quality not excellent.

  : 24 hr open reception and friendly service. Its location is nice, very close to some markets and walking distance to Royal Mile. Breakfast is not diverse but enough. There are so many alternatives ( restaurants, cafes) nearby.
  : The room pictures show second floor. We stayed on 4th floor and our room got so warm. There is no ac and only one roof window is not feasible to keep open during night. We knew while we were booking; however it is good to mention that there is no lift.

  : Really good place to stay in Edinburgh at a reasonable price - especially if you are slightly younger. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff friendly.
  : Unfortunately I had a room up three or four flights of stairs (and there's no elevator!) I found it a little hard as I'm not super-fit and have a dodgy ankle! If you have health/mobility issues it would be worth checking to see if you can reserve a room nearer ground level - the staff are very nice and I'm sure will help if they can.Breakfast was nice but you need to go outside to reach the breakfast area in the next building. Luckily the rain which had been full-on the day before had gone by breakfast-time! Not complaining - just pointing out these things for people to be aware of in advance- and these things no doubt contribute to the very reasonable price. It's definitely worth the stay.
