  : There are a lot of positives about this place, and a few not so.. Positives - FAB location - Small but comfy room, v comfy bed - Complimentary cocktail and tea/coffee in room Things they need to work on - Shower temp control fell off in my hand, so cold shower -we chose to have breakfast in the bar/restaurant (not included)....my coffee was cold, they obliged with extra hot water. My vegan breakfast...also cold..I asked for it to be heated, which they did, and it was nice. Sour dough bread...was not. It was cheap white sliced bread - My daughters breakfast ...also cold. We asked for replacement and plate was returned with extra two eggs. ....also cold! - We told the waitress (all of whom v sweet), who spoke to the manager. Mgr advised he'd knock off 20%...errr I don't think so! I told waitress we would pay for my breakfast and the coffees, and she replied OK. I would still recommend this place, if only for the location and the staff (eve bar waiter also very polite and helpful). The Manager / kitchen just need some fine tuning, then they would have a great product.

  : The rooms are very thoughtfully laid out and with lots of nice amenities, the cocktails in the minibar, nice shampoos etc.
  : Unfortunately the air con was broken on one of the hottest days of the year but the staff gave us a significant discount for the inconvenience.

  : A BRILLIANT LOCATION AND EVEN MORE AWESOME STAFF. THEY COULDNT DO EVOUGH FOR US . SHAME I HAD TO GO TO WORK AS YOU WALK OUT TO SUCH ENERGY AND VIBRANCY. THANKS ALL AND MERRY CHRUSTMAS TO YOU ALL.

  : Location right at the heart of Portabello, and friendliness of some staff. Bar downstairs looked nice and was busy, but we didn't stay to try it!
  : Booked cosy room (room 3). Room was dirty, and you were immediately hit with the smell of drains! Double bed must be the smallest double bed available, with stains on the sheet. Paint work was like a patchwork quilt with dirty hand prints to the white paint. Wooden floor felt sticky to the extent we didn't want to take our shoes off. The bathroom floor may well have been clean but didn't look it, as others have mentioned the bathroom sink must have been bought from the same shop as the 'double' bed and it was safe to say this is where the drainage smell was coming from. We decided this wasn't worth the 154 per night which unfortunately I paid on arrival. Eventually spoke to the hotel manager explaining the above and requested a refund which he willingly gave. Unfortunately after 5 days the refund hadn't arrived. Turned out the refund had failed, but it took me to contact them to find that out! Money is now back in my account.

  : There was no heating or hot water on the coldest day of the season in London at -2 degrees Celsius. No one was able to help us. We had to ask multiple times to get our room cleaned. There were cracks and stains on wall. Essentially, no service once you check-in and get your key. You are on your own with the elements.
