  : I booked a single room in March. Three weeks before my stay I received an email telling me the booking was cancelled because the hotel was closing due to unforseen circumstances. This is London for the Queen's Jubilee weekend. I found this hard to believe so I rang. First I checked out booking.com to find there was a vacancy for the period I booked (4 nights) and that I could book the following week. I asked to speak to the manager. She told me only part on the hotel was closing for renovation, it was very busy and people were cancelling. I refused to give up and she eventually booked me into the vacant suite. So I actually got a better room at no extra.cost. There are other reviews in Tripadvisor with the same dilemma as me, bookings cancelled . The manager was the person who had sent the email. I still don't know the truth of the matter. To get somewhere else in London at that time was not only hard to find but the prices had gone up immensely. The room was good, very clean and cleaned every day. There was a kitchen with no tea towels or washing up liquid because all the dirty dishes were washed by the cleaning staff every day. The location is good being handy to Paddington station but the whole area is run down.
  : It appears that this hotel is also used to house immigrants and /or asylum seekers. Is this why bookings were cancelled? It was run down and people seemed to be hanging around. However, as a single lady, I felt safe and not threatened in any way.

  : when we booked in we were given an apartment when we were expecting a twin room so that was a lovely surprise.

  : The location was great and the room private, but due to very warm weather and no air conditioning, the room was too warm for us. The staff was very nice.
  : The temperature of the room, but this week was warm so that meant air conditioning would have been welcome.

  : Poor shower. Hotel run out of milk. Shop around the corner but to far for them to help. A rubbish stay. Should not be on Booking.com

  : Location was very handy. Area felt safe. Great little independent shops and restraunts nearby.
  : Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. A bit tired and dated but was clean, just a few minor repairs needed. Rooms were nothing like the ones advertised

  : The wifi/internet connection was one of the very worst I have every experiences. It always drops out and makes you reconnect, and even when connected it is VERY slow
